Shinzi Katoh is a picture book author, illustrator, and designer for everyday lifestyle items such as shoes, clothes, jewelry, and stationery. Here, Katoh has taken the works of novelist and children's poetry writer Kenji Miyazawa and spun them into the fantastical scenes that you see unravelling on this beautiful washi tape. This washi tape is inspired by Miyazawa's classic story "Kaze no Matasaburo" about a boy named Takada that appears one windy day in front of an elementary school in the mountainside. His new classmates suspect he might be Matasaburo, a wind boy. This washi tape depicts Takada as a black cat character and his antics at this rural school.
