Pelikan M809 Fountain Pen - Souverän - Black Matte - Special Edition
From the grip to the barrel, from the rings to the cap, even down to the elegantly finished 18-carat gold nib: every visible element is finished in matte black. This seamless, monochrome look is elevated by a refined contrast of textures: satin-finished metal meets high-gloss precious resin for a sleek, modern silhouette. A discreetly smoked ink window blends almost invisibly into the barrel, offering subtle transparency without breaking the pen’s dark allure.
Part of the prestigious Souverän Collection—known for its exclusive design, premium materials, and exceptional writing comfort—the Pelikan M809 in Black Matte showcases a larger body and nib. It features a durable metal piston-filling mechanism that adds weight, enhancing its premium feel. Black trim and a matte black 18k gold nib complete its luxurious build, delivering a smooth and refined writing experience.

About Pelikan:
Pelikan is a Germany company founded in 1838. The beginnings of the Pelikan Company trace back to the chemist Carl Hornemann, who made his customers an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and “farbige Dinten” (colored inks). These items formed the foundation of the brand's manufacturing line, including most notably the 4001 ink, which is still sold around the world to this day. Pelikan is recognized for their early integration of piston mechanisms into fountain pens, as well as the numbered naming system for their fountain pens such as the M200, M400, M600, M800, and M1000 series.
