Pelikan M1000 Fountain Pen - Souverän - Raden Stardust - Limited Edition
The Pelikan M1000 Raden Stardust “Hoshikuzu” is a limited edition fountain pen that showcases a remarkable combination of Pelikan’s German craftsmanship and the refined decorative techniques of Japanese tradition. Inspired by stardust scattered across a midnight sky, this pen was created by renowned artist Yamazaki Mushu together with the distinguished “Hoshu-kai,” a collective of Kaga maki-e masters based in Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
Crafted using the traditional Raden technique, the pen begins with a smooth coat of deep black Urushi lacquer reminiscent of the night sky. Three varieties of finely crushed abalone shell are meticulously arranged into shimmering vertical stripes using a traditional Funzutsu powder tube, creating luminous flashes of violet, blue, green, and silver as light moves across the surface. Layers of clear lacquer are carefully applied and polished to achieve a rich, glossy finish that enhances the iridescent details. Elegant 24K gold-plated accents, including Pelikan’s signature clip and double cap bands, complete the design with timeless sophistication. Each pen is individually signed by the artist and features a hand-applied limited edition number using the maki-e technique. Presented in an elegant paulownia wood box, this fountain pen is a breathtaking fusion of artistry, craftsmanship, and the quiet beauty of a star-filled sky.

About Pelikan:
Pelikan is a Germany company founded in 1838. The beginnings of the Pelikan Company trace back to the chemist Carl Hornemann, who made his customers an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and “farbige Dinten” (colored inks). These items formed the foundation of the brand's manufacturing line, including most notably the 4001 ink, which is still sold around the world to this day. Pelikan is recognized for their early integration of piston mechanisms into fountain pens, as well as the numbered naming system for their fountain pens such as the M200, M400, M600, M800, and M1000 series.
