Like most every MD product, this is a simple, straight forward product of minimalistic design. It is simply a stiff paper box. It is roughly A5 in size and will hold an A5 Midori notebook but it will not hold a hardback The Paper Mind A5 notebook as the hardback cover adds a few mm to the notebooks dimensions..
When I purchased it I was concerned about how well it would hold up in my luggage on the plane ride home but it arrived unscathed. This has given me confidence to use it to carry small stationery items back and forth to work. It is the perfect size for one of the front pockets in my messenger bag and holds my habit trackers, index cards, tape, stickies, etc; things that I use at work but don’t keep there.
It is just paper so it is not as durable as a metal or wooden box but the paper it is constructed of is firm and stiff and only a few mm thick so it is light and spacious and a better fit for my bag than the cigar box I was using.
Since it is paper, I am a little cautious with it and try keep it from taking too hard of a hit while in my bag. I don't know how long it will hold up but I like it and so far it is useful.
