A lifelong pen enthusiast, Joshua J. Lax began collecting fountain pens in 2009 and soon discovered a passion for restoration and nib work. Trained under the legendary Richard Binder, J.J. brings both deep expertise and an artist’s touch to every nib he shapes. Since starting his workshop in Brooklyn, he has customized nibs for collectors and major pen brands around the world. And in 2022, he won the first and only fountain pen nib competition in history!
During this event, you’ll get to work with J.J. in person and experience his craftsmanship firsthand on your pens. Whether you’re looking to fine-tune your favorite pen or explore a new writing feel entirely, this is your chance to see what makes a J.J. Lax grind special.
